After a boring 2-hour wait, and then a missed-bus-turned-1-hour-walk home, I have the signed contract here. I'm thinking about laminating it, but am not sure if that may void the contract in some way or cause problems if the contract ever needs to be 'inspected' in the future...

You should be able to get a heck of a lot of traffic out of this if you make it a soap opera/cliff hanger story.
